Curators and other authorised people select individual targets (URLs) using the Annotation and Curation Tool (W3ACT). This selection is on-going throughout the year but is of relatively low volume (thousands of websites). In addition, UKWA conducts an ‘Annual Domain Crawl’ (once per year) that automatically archives websites that can be identified by the harvesting software as meeting the scope of the Non-Print Legal Deposit. The Annual Domain Crawl results in the bulk of archived material (millions of websites). This report collates the quarterly web archiving statistical reports from the preceding financial year (April 2017-March 2018). It covers headline statistics, collection development and work on the UK Web Archive interface redevelopment. The report does not cover technical updates which are reported on elsewhere, particularly in the Legal Deposit Web Archiving Sub Group (LDWASG) meetings which are fed into LDIG. There is a glossary that defines the web archiving terminology used at the end of this document. %G English %[ 2024-03-29 %9 Research report %~ Hyku %W British Library
