Additional information
The file consists of the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) text in XML format for one year of The Express. The full digitised newspaper comprises 1 September 1846-31 December 1868. The period January-April 1869, after which the title ended, has yet to be digitised. The digitised page images are available on the British Newspaper Archive website, https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/titles/express-london.  The British Newspaper Archive pages images are behind a paywall, but in 2021 the paywall is expected to be lifted for this title and eventually all the newspapers we are digitising under the Heritage Made Digital programme.
