This dataset contains full text and metadata after processing by the Alto2Text pipeline created by the Living with Machines Project. The pipeline took as its input the highly verbose AltoXML files of the same newspaper titles and converted them into the more readable plain text format for the benefit of readers and researchers. It contains plaintext for one year of Tamworth Miners' Examiner and Working Men's Journal. The full digitised newspapers comprise no.1-19 (13 Sep.- 20 Dec.1873) (Tamworth Miners' Examiner and Working Men's Journal.), no.20-124 (27 Dec.1873 - 15 Jan.1876) (Tamworth Examiner and Working Men's Journal).
