Abstract
The bibliographical history of The Spectator 1712-2016 is a list of all complete editions and extracts in English (published in England, Scotland, Ireland, and the American colonies – later the United States of America) and French. It is intended to be comprehensive, but it may be that some extracts have been overlooked, such as single or few essays reproduced in anthologies. The shelfmarks of the copies which may be found in the British Library are given.
