Abstract
This document aims to establish the scope of a thematic website collection initiated as part of the wider work the UK Web Archive undertakes to document political events in the UK. This collection was given the title ‘UK General Election 2019’.
The 2019 UK General Election was held on 12 December 2019, and it was one of the most consequential elections in recent UK history. It was called to resolve the political deadlock over Brexit and resulted in a decisive shift in the UK’s political landscape.
