Abstract
The CHARM Framework represents the main artefactual knowledge contributions made through the research, extracted and re-packaged for consumption and reuse by the wider community. The artefacts communicate a solution to the research question for a practitioner audience, whilst the written thesis explores them and the research question in a wider academic context. The Framework has five parts: 1. The CHARM Reference Model 2. The CHARM How-To Guide 3. The CHARM Risk Identification Framework 4. The CHARM Risk Assessment Spreadsheet 5. The CHARM Digital Preservation Risk Source Model. Documents can be read in any order, though it is recommended to begin with either the How-To Guide or the Reference Model. It is also recommended that the thesis is read prior to the CHARM Framework documents, in order to demonstrate their academic rigour and the context of their development.
