Abstract
At the time of Sheikh JÄ sim bin Muḥammad Ä€l ThÄ nÄ«’s death in 1913, his great wealth was revealed to the British in intelligence reports sent by YÅ«suf bin Aḥmad Kanoo. On 12 July 1913, Major Arthur Prescott Trevor, the British Political Agent at Bahrain, received an urgent report from YÅ«suf bin Aḥmad Kanoo, Bahraini merchant and part-time munshi at the British Agency , that Sheikh JÄ sim bin Muḥammad Ä€l ThÄ nÄ« was very ill.
