A dataset derived from the Digitised 19th Century Books dataset which contains books pertaining to theatre written in English. The dataset of 841 items was created by filtering by keywords which are related to different genre of play including Drama, Act, Scene, Play, Comedy, Farce, Pantomime, Tragedy and Shakespeare and manual curation to identify works which were written to be performed. This dataset was curated by students at University College London for the module BASC003, Information through the ages in Autumn 2019.

This dataset is comprised of keylogging data from the author C M Taylor captured October 2014 – 30 January 2015; Keystroke files: 07/01/2015 – 30/01/2015.The dataset is comprised of screenshots and keystroke logs. The screenshots are saved individually as JPGs and BMPs as well as an AVI file, so the individual captures play as a film. Keystrokes are saved either as .rtf files or .txt. This data was created using keylogging software Spectre Pro (SpectreSoft) installed on a dedicated IBM Thinkpad laptop and then exported as TXT, RTF, JPEG, BMP and AVI files. They can be used for image and text analysis, teaching, art projects, or anything else of inspiration.

Nova et accurata Terrae Marisq. Sphaera, denuo recognita et correcta à Gulielmo Blaeu. Amsterdam: Willem Janszoon Blaeu, 1606 (1621). 1 globe : hand coloured; 13.5 cm. in diameter. This globe by Willem Jansz Blaeu (1571-1638) was originally published in 1606 but has been revised to include the discoveries at the tip of South America in 1616 by the Dutchmen Willem Schouten (active 1590–1618) and Jacob Le Maire (1585–1616). The globe forms a pair with the celestial globe at Maps G.6.a. This model was created for a 2020 British Library project in partnershp with Cyreal to digitise globes from its historic map collection. These JPEG files were converted from TIFF files using IrfanView, and then further compressed using JPEGMini. They can be used for image and text analysis, teaching, art projects, or anything else of inspiration. JISC UK Web Domain Dataset Crawled URL Index. 1996 - 2013. CDX.
UKWA Open Data
The dataset comprises original compound index (CDX) files that have been re-assembled into 18 separate CDX files for each year of crawling activity represented (1996 - 2013). Please note that the individual CDX files are not sorted. In order to enable access to web archives, UKWA uses CDX files to act as indexes so that it is possible to look up which ARC or WARC files contain which URLs and responses. In partnership with the Internet Archive and JISC, UKWA had obtained access to the subset of the Internet Archive’s web collection that relates to the UK. The JISC UK Web Domain Dataset (1996 - 2013) contains all of the resources from the Internet Archive that were hosted on domains ending in ‘.uk’, or that are required in order to render those UK pages. An elaborately gold tooled, jewelled and onlaid bookbinding covering an 1884 Boston [Mass] edition of Rubà¡iyà¡t of Omar Khayyà¡m, the astronomer-poet of Persia, rendered into English verse by Edward Fitzgerald, with an accompaniment of drawings by Elihu Vedder; a bequest to the British Library by Mr & Mrs Stanley Bray in 2005. The bookbinding firm of Sangorski & Sutcliffe were famous for their jewelled bookbindings. Their first binding (created 1909-1911) on this edition of the Rubà¡iyà¡t was lost on the Titanic as it was being exported to the U.S.A. in 1912. The binding was was recreated by Sutcliffe’s nephew, binder Stanley Bray, from 1932 to 1939 but was destroyed in the London Blitz of 1941. Bray created a third jewelled binding from 1985 taking 4 years of his retirement.
