Abstract
THE first collected edition of Petrarch's Latin works to appear in Italy was printed at Venice by Simon de Luere for the publisher Andrea Torresano de Asula with two colophons dated respectively 27 March and 17 June 1501. There is no comment to be made on this edition, except to say that it includes the Bucolicum carmen about which there is much more to say when dealing with the next edition, which was completed on 15 July 1503 by Simon Bevilaqua, likewise at Venice.
