Abstract
This note is intended to explain the relationship between Stowe Manuscript 15 and Richard Hodges, whose name appears on folio 12v with the date 1545. The manuscript is a small volume of ninety-two vellum folios containing diverse subjects dating from the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries. It was originally begun as a twelfth-century Latin copy of the four gospels and this occupies the majority of the text (fols. 26-84).
